Dresses Models in Paint Splashes #design #photography
A London-based photographer Iain Crawford mastered the way to capture the collision of a model’s body and a splash of paint so well, that it looks as if the bodies in his pictures are clothed in color.
When the paint or powder is thrown at the models, it’s all a matter of a split second to seize the beauty of the splashes. “The resulting shapes are as opulent as any piece of bespoke couture,” says Iain. The paint splashes and the vivid model make-up create graphically very strong images with high textural quality.
Having grown up in Malaysia and Africa, today Iain says he aims to look for graphical symmetry in chaos. In his “Paint” series, Iaian says the anticipation was “electric” as he waited to see what could be created from a pure random chance.
