It’s not everyday that you can find so much beauty, concentrated in one place, as in the Sony World Photography Awards 2013 shortlists. The World Photography Organization announced the most standout photographs for the Professional, Open and Youth categories, selected out of the highest number of submissions to date – over 122,000 entries from 170 countries.
The topics varied from the Obama election campaign to the magnificent sights of the Yi Peng Lantern Festival in Thailand to wildlife photography. Before the Open category winner is announced on March 19, and the professional competition winner on April 25, check out some photos we couldn’t take our eyes off!
